Dear Ben and Mia,

Thank you for taking the call, Ben.

The purpose of this email is for us to request a 6am opening of the Randwick gate.

As part of this year's application, you have requested us to adhere
d to the official 6.:30am gate time. PIn the previous 5 years, the parklands have facilitated a 5:30am access. When we released the runners guide over the weekend, we received a significant amount of feedback. A 6.:30am gate opensing means over 95 runners, with estimated of 60 cars, have 30 minutes to get through Randwick gate, find a parking place, pick up their race bib, set up, and get ready for a 7am start. From our end as organiszer, this is not practical for the runners. To have that bilarge influx of vehicles slowing down, looking for a parking also raises safety concerns.

We understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of the official gate opening time - Our understanding
is that one of the importancet reasons is for the safety of the cyclists that can cycle through the parklands until 6.:30am without worrying about vehicles crossing. As part of our urgent request for a 6am opening, we are willing to engage an additional Ranger to facilitate the 30 minutes earlier opening, as well as the movement of vehicles.

We respect the parklands and understand it is a privilege to have an event in this space. We also wish the parklands to continue to extend the same support you have
hadgiven the last 5 years for an event that has allowed participants and supporterers to appreciate this space, far beyond and over a time frame that they ususally would have.

I
